Austrak's head office is in Brisbane and its current manufacturing facilities are located in Rockhampton QLD, Geelong VIC and Port Hedland WA. An additional manufacturing facility is planned to open in Wagga Wagga NSW in mid-2007.

Wagga Wagga

Mid 2007 onwards - 700,000 sleepers/year

The contract to manufacture sleepers for the Melbourne – Brisbane mainline upgrade was awarded in September 2006. The Wagga Wagga factory will be in production in mid-2007, with a capacity of some 15,000 sleepers per week (700,000 per year).
