Austrak's head office is in Brisbane and its current manufacturing facilities are located in Rockhampton QLD, Geelong VIC and Port Hedland WA. An additional manufacturing facility is planned to open in Wagga Wagga NSW in mid-2007.

Geelong

1995 to present - capacity of over 500,000 sleepers/year

A factory was established in Victoria to manufacture standard gauge sleepers for the completion of the main standard gauge line across Australia. This factory also produces gauge changeable sleepers (broad or standard gauge) for TransAdelaide suburban railway in Adelaide, South Australia, standard gauge sleepers for ARTC, broad gauge sleepers for the Victorian metropolitan railways and tram sleepers for the Victorian tramway system.
