Austrak's head office is in Brisbane and its current manufacturing facilities are located in Rockhampton QLD, Geelong VIC and Port Hedland WA.
An additional manufacturing facility is planned to open in Wagga Wagga NSW in mid-2007.

Rockhampton
1993 to present - capacity of over 500,000 sleepers/year
Due to increasing requirements of Queensland Rail, a second Queensland factory was built in 1992 in Rockhampton, which has undergone a major capacity expansion in early 2006. This factory has the capacity to manufacture over 500,000 sleepers per year as well as a large number or turnout bearer sets.
For the past few years, this factory has been supplying sleepers for the upgrade of the track from Brisbane to Townsville for Queensland Rail's tilt trains, in addition to other Queensland Rail infrastructure projects.
