> 8. Stockpile/Loadout

Sleepers are put into predetermined pack sizes by a small gantry and placed into stockpile using the main stockpile gantry. Alternatively, this operation can also be carried out using forklifts.

Once all of the testing has been completed and the sleepers certified for service, they are ready to be loaded out.

Generally, loadout is via the stockpile gantry onto railway wagons or with forklifts onto semi-trailers. In all cases we strive to have the stockpile arranged to provide the shortest turnaround time.
