Austrak has provided railway sleepers, turnout bearers and other products for a range of clients for their use in a variety of applications.

    Queensland Rail

Austrak’s association with Queensland Rail started in 1983, producing more than 5.5 million sleepers over this time from three factories. Austrak has been QR's sole supplier of concrete ties during this period.

The most recent contract is a new "open book alliance" style 5+5 year contract awarded in April 2006. We have also supplied QR with more than 1250 turnout bearers since 1984.
